This secondary holiday hits close to home with the National Eagle Center in Wabasha.

Not very long ago, the bald eagle was close to extinction. The United States Government put the raptor on the Endangered Species List back in 1967. But in 2007, we saw the bald eagle removed from the list and is now flourishing – especially along the Mississippi River.

Just recently Dustin and I made a stop to the National Eagle Center and had a blast. If you haven’t been there yet – I would suggest going early on a day they have a classroom. It is a 45-minute presentation, full of information about the bald eagle and even features a live eagle feeding!

Check out the pictures from our great National Eagle Center visit below!
